The pub quiz master in me makes a mental note, “What song’s lyrics unite Salman Rushdie, Jeffrey Archer and Jean-Paul Sartre?”

What about ‘Born to be Sold’ by Transvision Vamp for more namedropping?

That is a pretty cool song – is that off of Velveteen? I’m not sure what I think of Wendy James’ singing though – although I remember her being a bit of a pin-up when this came out. Also, isn’t one of these guys in Bush?

A couple of points on this ‘Beloved’ video….check out the crazy 90’s style dancing around the 1:15 mark…and also keep an eye out for the monster Marshall stack! :-)

Dig the 3 x 4 Marshall stack!!

Yes indeed- that song is from the Velveteen album, and the bass player went of to join Bush. WJ went off into the wilderness for a while and now seems to be fronting a band called Racine
