A gem of an album – but the video completely past me by. Was that before or after those guys burnt 1M£ ? Prefer the lo – cost version !

I sometimes wonder if the KLF made a deal in advance with the Bank of England to replace the notes, or if they used notes that were about to go out of circulation. There’s no evidence of this, though – it really does seem like they did it.

Mansun were formed in 1995, a year after the KLF’s stunt…

I’m going to have to go with Nigel Godrich responsible for priuocdng the majority of Radiohead’s records, as well as classic albums like Beck’s Sea Change and McCartney’s Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard. Godrich always manages to create dense, powerful arrangements that envelope the music in these emotive soundscapes which carry me away.I can definitely see the relation between the auteurism (as you hinted at in your intro) between a filmaker like a Bergman (7th Seal, Wild Strawberries) always with the stark, and bleak and a producer like Godrich, always full, massive and dense sound.It’s definitely a shame… Read more »
